Dave Chameides "Consume less, Conserve more"

While investigating garbage problems in Mexico with the help of Google, I came across this neat idea of making a worm bin, or a worm factory. The worms turn waste into compost, a very fertile soil that is great for growing plants.

How much could you help the garbage problem by making your own worm factory to get rid of paper and organic waste?

The video is from Good Morning America, a morning program on the ABC television network. The story is about Dave and how he decided to greatly reduce his waste over the course of a year by not throwing anything away and storing it in his basement.

When you're gonna buy something,
Look at it and think,
"Where did this come from?
What am I gonna do with it?
Where is it going to go?"
